Thompson Dunavant PLC, Barnes Retirement Plan Specialists, Inc. and Bass Berry Sims PLC announced a webinar entitled “Electronically Filing Your Annual Form 5500” that will be held on April 20th at 12:00pm or April 22nd at 2:00pm.  

This webinar will instruct participants how to reduce the amount of time it will take to file their DOL Form 5500 ELECTRONICALLY as mandated for 2009. This program will also cover how to properly disclose fees for plans that require disclosure of direct and indirect compensation for the 5500’s Schedule C as well as what expenses may be paid from plan assets.

The economy has caused companies to close locations or sell/purchase divisions possibly triggering a partial plan termination. This program will also point out what to look for when/if a company is either downsizing or upsizing and facing possible partial plan terminations.

The presenters include Linda Lauer of Thompson Dunavant PLC, Jeff Barnes of Barnes Retirement Plan Specialists, Inc., and David Thornton of Bass Berry Sims PLC.
